The heritage roofing experts |
Around 20 percent of all work
that we do is in the ‘heritage’
roofing market, from small
cottages, to large listed buildings,
manor houses, churches, and even cathedrals. Our specialist
knowledge of heritage roofing
means that we are able to
undertake these projects from
conception to completion,
liaising with architects,
developers and clients.
Heritage roofing can be challenging, as older
buildings are never straight, level or square, but
our skilled slaters are able to overcome this, yet
maintain the character of the buildings.
We use second-hand materials extensively
which we salvage from our own work, in order
to maintain the perfect historical and colour
match for the roofs we are restoring, and
we also source materials from the thriving
reclamation market.
We have carried out many jobs for English
Heritage and the National Trust, both as a main
contractor, and as sub-contractors on full-scale
renovations. Previous jobs include the 15th
Century Bowhill Manor in Exeter; the parish
church at Kilve, near Watchet in Somerset;
and Torre Abbey. |
